Jun 24, 2026"This is a local bar with a small seating area for dinners. It was recommended by our hotel. You do have to book if you want a table and the day before is sufficient. The interior is dated and mainly wood and looking tired. Our table was a bit wobbly and when we got there at 7.30 the restaurant was empty. By 8 pm, it was suddenly packed out. It was mainly full of older gentlemen who seemed to know each other and the staff. It all added to the atmosphere, and we did not feel out of place. You felt as though you were at some family gathering. There were 4 of us and we ordered two salads and 4 main course meals which we decided to share. The foid was presented with flair, and the portions were generous. As with most of our experiences in San Sebastian, you should never judge a book by its cover. Everything was tasty and fresh. The quality of the dishes would not be out of place in a fine dining restaurant in London, but the price was exceptionally good value. It averaged at €17 each. It was a great place to visit for a no fuss relaxed evening meal."
